Swansea Excellence in Teaching and Student Support Awards 2024

The Swansea Excellence awards exist so that students can nominate excellent teaching and/or support staff who have been really exceptional and achieved excellence in what they do.

There are three categories:

  1. Excellence in Leaning and Teaching Award (ELTA) – for individual teachers
  2. Excellence in Student Support Award (ESSA) – individual members of support staff or teams
  3. Excellence in Team Teaching Award (ETTA) – for teaching teams

This year the number of nominations each student can make has been changed. You can now nominate:

  1. ELTA – Up to two nominations of individual teachers, but if you want to make more than one nomination, they must be one from teaching block 1 and one from teaching block 2. If you’re only making one nomination, it can be from either.
  2. ESSA – One nomination can be made for either an individual member of staff, or for a team.
  3. ETTA – Up to two nominations of teaching teams, but if you want to make more than one nomination, they must be one from teaching block 1 and one from teaching block 2. If you’re only making one nomination, it can be from either.

You can nominate in one, two or all three categories.

In addition, the nomination period has been altered to allow you experience of both teaching blocks. You can now nominate from February to April.

Please note: If someone has won in the last three years, they cannot win again this year. Check here to check who CAN’T WIN this year.
