Students make their own selection (having been shown some possible examples) of a conflict situation (international / domestic, past / present) which is in the public domain and make an analysis of the negotiating involvedm using their knowledge of negotiation theory – with a focus on how the negotiation helps more the situation towards some sort of resolution.
