You might be interested to note that Aza Raskin was the co-founder of the Humanized company which developed the Enso launcher which provides a set of easy to run application helpers (application launch, spell checking, dictionary lookup, google search, …) on the press of a single button (Usually Caps Lock). It’s sort of like a QuickSilver for the Windows platform and similar in concept (if not design) to Launchy. Enso was paid-for software, but is now free. It’s interesting to see that Aza is applying his novel UI design ideas to web browsers now.
